A new, sexy standalone from #1 New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland.

Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

And She Does It Again

This was another tremendous read by Vi Keeland. Ireland and Grant’s story is full of heat, snark, and laughs. It is also, at times, heart rending. This was one that was hard to put down and kept me up late reading—and it was worth the dark circles in the morning!

WITTY, STEAMY, EMOTIONAL. ALL THE FEELS.

Vi Keeland is a one-click author for me, and her latest release, Inappropriate, clicked every check box for me. Every one. It started off with a laugh as our heroine, Ireland Saint James, gets released from her contract as a news broadcaster due to misconduct. I just loved her spirit and sense of humor as she drunkenly sends Grant, the CEO of the company, an email stating exactly how she felt about erroneously being fired. He apparently liked it too and showed off his comedic chops in his response. And so it begins... I was drawn in from the very first page and couldn’t help but smile hoping these two would meet, fall in love, have beautiful babies, and all the other romantic notions that swim in my head. But this book is all about their journey to get there, the pain in their past, their vulnerability and deciding whether or not to take a giant leap of faith, open up, and trust your heart. I love how they got to know one another and couldn’t stay away, and how she was able to open up about her parents from the beginning. This led him to open up about being adopted, and this slow burn will make you feel every single emotion. I adored their banter, their flirtations, all of their interactions at work and in their personal lives. I loved all the secondary characters, especially his grandparents, sisters, his “Little” brother, Leo, and her friend, Mia. What captivated me most was Grant’s backstory, the reason he locked his heart away and didn’t want to get serious. It was personally emotional for me to read because my ex-husband is bi-polar and mental illness runs in my family. It can cripple you and fill you with self-doubt as to what you could have or should have done. Ms. Keeland did a brilliant job covering this sensitive subject and all I wanted to do was hug Grant and tell him it will all be ok. To forgive yourself. The tears I tell you, so many tears. I loved Grant and Ireland together and how they supported each other and built each other up. I loved their trying times as they were very real and heartbreaking, and I especially loved how it all came full-circle and they could forgive and move on. That Grant is super swoony and thoughtful over and over again, but especially his big grand gesture as well as his little, but adorable gesture in the end...he remembered what she said she most wanted in life and made all her dreams come true. SWOON! I loved all of the steamy times, how sexy and wanted he made her feel, and how little by little, they were able to find their own well-deserved HEA. So many twists and turns in this new favorite Vi Keeland book of mine. I especially loved the extended epilogue that had me crying once again, but this time, it was happy tears.

Loved this book (Inappropriate)

Vi Keeland is one of my all time favorite authors. This book was amazing it was funny, and filled with angst. Inappropriate is filled with twist and turns, it’s told beautifully, it will make you laugh and cry but you won’t regret reading this incredible story. This was a story that I did not see coming, I had to keep reading to find out what was going with Ireland Saint James (love their names) and Grant Lexington. Inappropriate is so different, you will not be able to stop reading.

Review: Inappropriate

Inappropriate by Vi Keeland is a fantastic standalone comprised of all the elements of a great and emotional story I have come to expect from her. Surface level fun and laughs, mid level romance and steam and heat, and deep level emotional angst. This story of a woman wrongly fired and falling for her boss could just be a sexy romance, but the amazing Vi Keeland always has a deeper story to tell. Grant’s painful past is slowly revealed to us a morsel at a time and Ireland is just awesome. She is a fighter that sticks up for herself even when the outlook is bleak, she still defends herself and is respectful (wish) about it. Her interactions with Grant continue to humanize him, taking him from ruthless CEO to beautiful tragic man with a heart of gold. Enjoy!

Jen'sboyclub

Sunsets and Spuds

Inappropriate is a beautiful heartbreaking story of love, loss, strength, and forgiveness. My heart broke for both Ireland and Grant. Both have dealt with loss and tragedy and carry the pain with them daily. They have survived and did their best to overcome, but will they be able to open their hearts up and let love in. Grants story was so painful, tragic and gut wrenching. He can’t move past the worst night of his life and carries the hurt, pain and guilt with him. For the past seven years he chooses to relive his nightmare everyday and closes himself off from finding love again. Ireland is smart, witty and full sass. She is independent and worked hard to land her dream job. When Ireland is wrongfully terminated, she doesn’t plan on leaving without a fight. One drunken email later, she has the attention of the CEO, Grant Lexington. Grant can’t get the stunning and fiery newscaster out of his head and can’t help but get to know her outside of the office. Grant and Ireland realize their relationship is inappropriate and try to take things slowly. They can’t deny their feelings for each other and their relationship heats up quickly. When the unexpected happens, Grant isn’t sure he is able to open his heart and accept everything that Ireland is offering. He is scared and not sure if he can make room in his heart for true love. Loved the ending.

Featherlight97

All the feels!!

Omg!! Can I just say, I love Grant Lexington!! And Ireland is quite awesome herself! I loved everything about this book! It’s hilarious, sweet mixed with a little sad, and oh so sexy! So get ready for all the feels! Vi Keeland has started out 2020 both a bang!! Five+ stars for me!! I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!

DJGonzo69

a story I will not soon forget

Ireland is having a very bad day. She came home from vacation to a letter terminating her for "inappropriate behavior," and she's furious. So it makes sense that a drunken email to the boss' boss' boss is sent telling him off, telling him she thought he and his company sucked. Yep. Grant is intrigued by the email he receives telling him off. He's even more intrigued by the woman who sent the email. And when he meets her in person? Yeah...more than intrigued. But Ireland's not going to be as easy to win over as the average woman he meets. What happens when uncommon sass and intelligence meets charm hiding a broken heart? Well, sparks for one. And a sexy, emotionally heartbreaking story of finally forgiving one's self and falling in love. Vi's heroes and heroines are always substantial characters with big hearts, sometimes damaged, but always lovable. Grant and Ireland's story is full of feels with all the heart and heat that I've come to expect from her. More importantly, it's a story I will not soon forget.

Deena_K

3.75 stars.

I enjoyed this quite a bit, it kept me entertained from start to finish. Truth be told, Vi Keeland is an exceptional writer. She knows how to get you hooked with one sentence. This book started off strong with a seriously hilarious meet-cute. The premise of this book and how things were set up were very interesting. The title of the book didn’t really carry throughout the story but it didn’t bother me. I liked Ireland’s character; she’s strong, a go-getter and a little bit of sarcastic (which I can appreciate). I love a character that doesn’t hold back and she wasn’t going to let this hero get whatever he wanted without a challenge. Our hero - Grant - is one charming fella. I liked him immediately and even more with every chapter. These two hit it off and it’s undeniable the chemistry they shared. Though with the past that Grant has haunting him in the present, it makes for more than a rocky road for their relationship. On paper these two are perfect for each other. I’m not sure what was missing for me but there was an absence of something. Maybe it was the conflict in the story. It’s hard for me to express because I think the author did an impeccable job representing the heavy and devastating impact of mental illness. And in this story, there was no holding back. It was quite dark and if I’m being honestly didn’t really mesh with the vibe of the story for me. That being said, I think this story is one worth reading. The writing was as good as ever and the story flowed very well. I didn’t want to stop reading. Another great entertaining read from the author.

5 Inappropriate Stars

If you’re a fan of Vi Keeland… this will be no exception to her talents. This book is full of sexual tension, woody banter, romance, chemistry and all the emotions. There may have been a *few* tears. Office romance is one of my favorite tropes and you can’t go wrong with this one. Ireland is bold and sassy (plus who doesn’t love the name Ireland?) and Grant is mouthy and sexy af but not your typical richy rich CEO. He lives on a boat and comes from a foster child background. They met by chance but their romance was no fairy tale. The depth of emotion in this one is up there. Vi knocks it out of the park yet once again with this witty, heartwarming and heartbreaking romance.

Omg Grant is my absolute favorite CEO ever!!!! Can I please have him???? Grant and Ireland are incredible!! Chemistry from the very first page...err...email... I binged this book in a matter of hours. I couldn’t put this book down...even to sleep. Highly recommend this book to anyone that wants an alpha CEO that doesn’t have your typical story. Grant has a past that brought tears to my eyes and made me fill with so much emotion for a fictional character.

Sweet, Sexy and Smart

OMG I flipping love this book! I love everything about this one, the characters are hot, the plot is engrossing and I could not put it down. Vi is one of my favorite authors and Inappropriate actually is now my top fave of her books. I dont write wordy reviews because no one needs the blurb repeated in a review so if you like sexy, sweet and smart characters, and a story worth ignoring your husband and kiddos for just pick this one up! Early copy read for review purposes.

Predictable

I found myself skipping over the flashbacks especially, but there were moments that the book seemed to drag for no reason. I could tell where the story was going and it went right there.

Total Kindle Crack!

Is it normal to have inappropriate feelings for a fictional character? I hope so, because I’m daydreaming about Grant Lexington. I can’t believe I finished one of Vi Keeland's best books, and I can’t include it on my best of 2019 list! Inappropriate might be one of my all-time favorite books by Vi Keeland. Vi makes it impossible to not fall in love with all of her characters. Her books always manage to make me laugh, steam up my e-reader screen, and produce a lovable book boyfriend. That’s a given. Inappropriate did all of those things along with an emotion-packed sucker punch that I felt in my heart. This book is everything! My first book on my Best of 2020 Romance Book List!

This book was absolutely fantastic! Although I am not surprised at all. The characters Grant and Ireland were amazing I loved them together. The story was so well written that I just could not put it down. But then I found myself slowing down cause I just loved it so much that I didn’t want it to end. The way this story is put together made it feel real. From the first page to the very last it was simply amazing. I am so excited for everyone to read this book. I know everyone is going to go crazy for it.

pwnedbythebook

Beautifully compelling. So rich the feelings can be tasted. I love it!

Angsty and emotional. Delightful and heartwarming. Exquisite and passionate. Hilarious and hopeful. Woeful and whimsical. Stunning in its depth as two individuals wind their way through the intricate weaves of life while finding love with forgiveness and trust. Grant has been through an utterly devastating and horrific ordeal....losing a piece of himself so dear he felt inhuman for many years. A ship drifting at sea, lost to the currents and alone in a tempest of heartbreak. Of loss. Of a half-life. Then, one day.... A woman. Ireland. Someone who has become a pillar of stone. She has such a warm softness to her. As if despite her troubles, she has remained gentle at heart, though unyielding. A rose, with thorns, but such beauty that the harsh bits only accentuate the lovely ones. Human. Everything Grant needs in order to build a life again. A beacon. A lighthouse to find his way. Out of the darkness and into the sunny shore. The two of them, as they become one? They save each other. While Grant has to learn what makes life worth living and what it means to take chances. Ireland needs to find a way to give her heart away despite the risk. They both learn that there are no flowers without rain. With forgiveness comes peace. With trust comes love. Grant and Ireland? They deserve it all. The happily ever after? It was never wanted more. I love this couple. I love this heartache. I love this pain. I love this LOVE. It is all.

Devoured this story!!!! Loved love love it!

Man. Sometimes a book hits you right in the heart and doesn't let go! This one soooo did that for me!!! It starts very hilariously with Ireland, news anchor, sending a scathing email whilst drinking to the President of her company. Jerry Maguire on 'roids!! As with every Vi book, there's a hook in there you do not see coming! Absolutely loved this story' I simply fell in love with Grant & Ireland.

MegM927

Loved it!

5 Stars Title: Inappropriate Author: Vi Keeland Stand-Alone “No rain. No Flowers.” -que all the tears. OMG this book was PHENOMENAL! From the very first page to the last, I was fully immersed in Grant’s and Ireland’s world. Their journey wasn’t easy whatsoever. So many emotions and struggles but there was also banter and laugh out loud moments. Inappropriate is hands down my favorite from Ms. Keeland! Both Ireland and Grant were fantastic characters. Ireland was sassy, headstrong, and independent. Grant was completely closed off but underneath the gruff exterior, was a beautiful heart. Little did they know that one drunk email would change everything. Inappropriate was EVERYTHING! Full of heart, heat, and unforgettable moments that you never want to end. Highly recommend reading this book!

Ambrosia1109

Forgiveness’ Gift

This story is heartbreaking, heartwarming and heart-quenching! Vi Keeland has served up an over-flowing bowl of the feels with “Inappropriate”. Grant and Ireland’s journey: while it’s one of second chances, it’s predestination at its finest. From their beginning hesitant moments to their struggles of giving in, every single moment truly consumed me. With each one holding their cards close to their vests, confidence about how their story would unfold was volitale at times. And that made this even more of a page turner for me. Hands down this book will take hold and clamp down without any let-up. You will love this story and that’s a promise!

Wizz456

Grant is mine!!!

Grant and Ireland are the best couple! Their meet cute was the best. Ireland is fired for an inappropriate photo on her private Instagram feed that a friend posted and tagged her in. She gets drunk and writes a letter in an email to her big boss, Grant. The fireworks start from there! Vi Keeland is a pure genius! She has characters that you love and weaves a story that will make you fall in love every time! 5 amazing stars

Bigwin15

Hot, steamy, fun and emotional read

Ireland was wrongfully fired....who knew what a drunken email would lead to! An amazing emotional read. I love Ireland and Grant! Theirs is a story that will stay within my heart. I love Vi Keeland! This is my new favorite book by her. It will definitely make the list if one of my favorite reads of the year!

mpatane5

Phenomenal! A must read!

What an amazing read. It’s definitely an emotional storyline that’s sexy and funny. You can’t help but fall for Grant, he’s confident and arrogant but in the best of ways. I adored Ireland, full of spirit and a perfect match for Grant. Their chemistry is scorching hot and their banter is off the hook funny and flirty. You’ll be hooked from the first chapter until the end. My new favorite book by Vi Keeland.

TheRomanceBibliophile

The BEST and my FAVORITE romance from Vi Keeland to date!

NO SPOILERS! Bravo, Vi Keeland, bravo! Inappropriate has been the BEST and my FAVORITE romance from Vi Keeland to date, and I absolutely LOVED Grant and Ireland’s sexy, funny, emotional, and swoon-worthy love story! Vi Keeland has never ceased to amaze me with her books, and I’ve adored each and every one I’ve read, but she went above and beyond with Inappropriate and I loved everything from beginning to end. Vi’s stories have always been unique and engaging, and Inappropriate was no different. I was captivated from the first page and addicted until the very last. Grant and Ireland were EVERYTHING, and I’ll never forget their epic love story. I was so incredibly happy with the outcome, and absolutely can’t wait to devour more sexy, swoon-worthy, and addicting love stories from one of my all-time favorite authors, Vi Keeland!

Wendy LeGrand

My new favorite Vi Keeland couple!

What an amazing book! My heart is so full after reading this! Grant and Ireland both had hard childhoods but have persevered and are now equally successful in their own right. The way they meet is unorthodox for sure, but the attraction between them is instant and their banter and interactions made me smile big. No doubt, Vi knows how to right a sexy scene! Hoo-boy, these two made me hot under the collar!! But it wasn't just sex. It was their intimacy and passion and emotions toward one another that made them the whole package. For me, this story has some super emotional parts that had me running the gamut from happy to sad, to mad, to worried, to delighted - you name it, I felt it. Grant really wrapped himself around my heart and I felt so much for what he's been through. And Ireland, she was just the perfect complement to Grant. Out of all of Vi's books, this one in particular really set itself apart. There are themes in it that really hit close to home for me, and I know this story will stay with me for a very long time.

KindleKat64

My new favorite Vi book!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I feel like I have said this before, but this is hands down my new favorite book by Vi Keeland! I don't know how she does it, she is such an amazing storyteller. Grant is well, he is spectacular! Marred by some extremely painful events in his past, he certainly wasn't looking for what he finds in Ireland. I honestly adore everything about him! And Ireland, she is funny, sassy, sweet and everything Grant needs even if he didn't see her coming. All it took was a bit of inappropriate behavior and their paths were set to clash and now neither of them will ever be the same.

Once again Vi has written a wonderfully romantic novel with a scorching hot hero Grant Lexington CEO of a company that just fired our heroine Ireland Richardson for breaking the company’s ethics clause when she made an innocent vacation trip to a nude beach. After being fired Ireland fires a drunken email to Mr Lexington. Later in the week the two meet by chance and sparks fly. As this love story develops Vi manages bring awareness to several subjects that face us daily. She address retaliation in the work place, mental illness and the foster system making this book even more special as she makes us love and brings awareness. I love books that make me love, laugh, and think.... definitely a five star plus read. Bravo Vi for this heartwarming story of life and love.

Enjoy!

Loved the ending.

a story I will not soon forget

Unexpected and great!

The title doesn’t do this book justice, but that’s typical for this author. As usual, Keeland combines humor, passion and drama but not in a cheesy predicable style. I love the character and romance development. As a psychologist I really liked the mental health conflict parts... this really does happen sadly. Overall, I absolutely love this book!

Amazingly Beautiful!

I have to admit, I was kind of skeptical about this one at the beginning but I will not lie & say that I was not at all intrigued. Grant. He was so, interesting. He pulled & pushed & pulled & pushed. It was refreshing that the their love did not draw out over & over. Although it was not his intention, he was quite honestly all in from the jump & that was appreciated, but that did not stop his hesitation. I was rooting for him through & through, even though I scared. Ireland. I love her so much. He willingness to be patient was admirable, but she wasn’t stupid & I appreciated that as well. She loved him & never tried to fight it & that is a strength that I admire. This was beautiful ❤️

It is all.

And She Does It Again

This was another tremendous read by Vi Keeland. Ireland and Grant’s story is full of heat, snark, and laughs. It is also, at times, heart rending. This was one that was hard to put down and kept me up late reading—and it was worth the dark circles in the morning!

Suzanne Golt

Enjoy!

DJGonzo69

a story I will not soon forget

This was another tremendous read by Vi Keeland. Ireland and Grant’s story is full of heat, snark, and laughs. It is also, at times, heart rending. This was one that was hard to put down and kept me up late reading—and it was worth the dark circles in the morning!

Suzanne Golt

Enjoy!

All the feels!!

It is all.

OMG I flipping love this book! I love everything about this one, the characters are hot, the plot is engrossing and I could not put it down. Vi is one of my favorite authors and Inappropriate actually is now my top fave of her books. Early copy read for review purposes.

Enjoy!

I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!

a story I will not soon forget

Grant and Ireland Sizzle

Hot, steamy, fun and emotional read
